Executive Summary:
At the February 24, 2025 City Council Regular Meeting, Council unanimously approved the Cliffdale Recreation Center as an additional One Stop Early Voting Site for the November 4, 2025, election as was done in 2023.
If the City Council approves the additional One Stop Early Voting Site, the City Clerk's Office is required to provide a certified copy of a Resolution of the City Council requesting the specific location of the additional One Stop Early Voting Site.
The resolution would again confirm the Cliffdale Recreation Center as an additional One Stop Early Voting Site for the November 4, 2025, election.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE TO REQUEST CLIFFDALE RECREATION CENTER AS AN ADDITIONAL ONE STOP EARLY VOTING SITE
WHEREAS, absentee/early voting is permitted in any municipal including primary or general elections or referendum upon adoption of a resolution by the municipal governing body and;
WHEREAS, such resolution must be adopted no later than 60 days prior to an election to be in effect for that election and;
WHEREAS, such resolution shall remain in effect for all future elections unless repealed no later than 60 days before an election and;
WHEREAS, the Fayetteville City Council voted unanimously to approve requesting the Cumberland County Board of Elections authorize the Cliffdale Recreation Center located at 6404 Cliffdale Road, Fayetteville, NC, as an additional One Stop Early Voting Site.
