Bids were received for the 27 KV Class 1200 Amp Outdoor Circuit Breakers. The recommended the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the best interest of PWC is ABB, Inc., Mary, FL. In the amount of $899,754.12.
Background:
The Fayetteville Public Works Commission, during their meeting on February 26, 2025, approved the bid recommendation to award purchase of the 27 KV Class 1200 Amp Outdoor Circuit Breakers to ABB, Inc., Mary, FL, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the best interest of PWC, in the total amount of $899,754.12. The Commission also approved to forward this recommendation to City Council for approval.

Issues/Analysis:
The bid notice was advertised through our usual channels on January 10, 2025, with a bid opening date of February 6, 2025. Bids were solicited from eleven (11) vendors and two (2) bids were received. MWDBE / SLS Participation: ABB, Inc., Lake Mary, FL, is not a small local or MWDBE business. ABB, Inc. anticipates self-performing the entirety of this contract.
