Executive Summary:
Council is asked to adopt Capital Project Ordinance (CPO) 2025-24 to appropriate $1,450,000 of Public Infrastructure GO Bond funds for projects associated with NCDOT Municipal Agreements.
Background:
As part of the FY25 budget, Council approved $1,450,000 for NCDOT Municipal Agreement projects to be funded utilizing Public Infrastructure GO Bond funds. The projects to be funded utilizing these funds are as follows:
* U-4405B Raeford Road sidewalks
* U-5798A Gillis Hill Road landscape
* U-5798B Gillis Hill Road sidewalks
* U-5798B Gillis Hill Road landscape and irrigation
* U-4900 Murchison Road sidewalks
* pedestrian improvements at intersections along Morganton Road (signals, sidewalks, ADA ramps)
Issues/Analysis:
None
Budget Impact:
There is no impact to the General Fund. Funds associated with this CPO were budgeted in FY25 utilizing Public Infrastructure GO Bond funds.
Options:
1. Adopt Capital Project Ordinance (CPO) 2025-24 to appropriate $1,450,000 of Public Infrastructure GO Bond funds for projects associated with NCDOT Municipal Agreements.
2. Do not adopt the CPO 2025-24 and provide further direction to staff.
Recommended Action:
Staff recommends Council Adopt Capital Project Ordinance (CPO) 2025-24 to appropriate $1,450,000 of Public Infrastructure GO Bond funds for projects associated with NCDOT Municipal Agreements.
