Background:
The Fayetteville Public Works Commission, during the meeting on April 8, 2026, approved the purchase award recommendation for the Materials Contract for Construction Ops and Storms to Crowder Trucking LLC, Fayetteville, NC, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and in the best interests of PWC in the total amount of $264,700.00, and forward to City Council for approval.

The bid notice was advertised through our usual channels on February 24, 2026, with a bid opening date of March 12, 2026. Bids were solicited from three (3) vendors, and two (2) bids were received. SDBE / SLS PARTICIPATION: Crowder Trucking LLC., Fayetteville, NC, is a small local supplier and a certified SDBE Business. Crowder Trucking LLC anticipates $9,000.00 in certified SDBE spend. This project is 100% SDBE, SLS, and local spend.

The Fayetteville Public Works Commission recommends that City Council approve the purchase award recommendation for the Materials Contract for Construction Ops and Storms to Crowder Trucking LLC, Fayetteville, NC, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and in the best interests of PWC in the total amount of $264,700.00, and authorize the CEO and General Manager of the Fayetteville Public Works Commission to execute for that purpose the contract for its purchase.
