Bid was received for the purchase of the Annual Contract for Magnesium Hydroxide. The lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the best interest of PWC is Premier Magnesia, LLC, Waynesville, NC, for the total amount of $629,000.
Background:
The Fayetteville Public Works Commission, during their meeting on May 14, 2025, approved the award for the purchase of the Annual Contract for Magnesium Hydroxide to Premier Magnesia, LLC, Waynesville, NC, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the best interest of PWC, in the total amount of $629,000

The bid notice was advertised through our usual channels on March 21, 2025, with the bid opening date of April 24, 2025. Bids were solicited from three (3) vendors, and one (1) bid was received.
MWDBE / SLS Participation - Premier Magnesia, LLC, Waynesville, NC, is not a small local or MWDBE business. Premier Magnesia anticipates to self-perform.

Recommended Action:
The Fayetteville Public Works Commission recommends the Fayetteville City Council approve the recommendation to award the contract for the purchase of the Annual Contract for Magnesium Hydroxide to Premier Magnesia, LLC, Waynesville, NC, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, in the best interest of PWC, in the total amount of $629,000.and authorize the CEO/General Manager of the Fayetteville Public Works Commission to execute for that purpose the contract for its purchase.
