Under the Design-Build method, the selected Design-Build team will be responsible for providing the required professional design services and construction services. This approach provides an opportunity for the design and construction professionals to collaborate throughout the project, which may reduce design conflicts, improve constructability, and facilitate more efficient project delivery.
City Council authorization is requested to proceed with procurement utilizing the Design-Build construction method for the Hay Street Parking Deck Elevator Project.

The Design-Build process also provides an opportunity for the City to establish the project requirements while allowing qualified Design-Build teams to develop solutions based on their technical expertise and experience with elevator and parking facility projects.
