Bids were received for purchase award recommendation for purchase of Relay Control Switchboards to Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc., Pullman, Washington, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and in the best interests of PWC in the total amount of $595,698.00.
Background:
The Fayetteville Public Works Commission, during the meeting on July 22, 2026, approved the purchase award recommendation for purchase of Relay Control Switchboards to Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc., Pullman, Washington, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and in the best interests of PWC in the total amount of $595,698.00, and forward to City Council for approval.

The bid notice was advertised through our usual channels on April 16, 2026, with a bid opening date of May 7, 2026. Bids were solicited from eleven (11) vendors, and three (3) bids were received. SDBE/ SLS Participation: Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc., Pullman, WA, is not a small local or SDBE business. Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc to self-perform this project.

The Fayetteville Public Works Commission recommends that City Council approve the purchase award recommendation for purchase of Relay Control Switchboards to Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, Inc., Pullman, Washington, the lowest responsive, responsible bidder and in the best interests of PWC in the total amount of $595,698.00 and authorize the CEO and General Manager of the Fayetteville Public Works Commission to execute for that purpose the contract for its purchase.
