Relationship To Strategic Plan:
Goal 4 - The City of Fayetteville will be a highly desirable place to live, work and recreate with thriving neighborhoods and a high quality of life for its citizens.
Executive Summary:
Bids were received for the construction of Mazarick Park Tennis Building. The lowest responsive, responsible bidder, is M&E Contracting, Inc., Fayetteville, NC in the total amount of $2,573,629.
Background:
On March 15, 2016, Fayetteville voters passed a $35 million bond referendum for parks and recreation projects including several new projects as well as renovations to a few existing parks and facilities. Since voters approved the bond package, several projects have been completed and several more are currently under construction or under design.
Other components (site work and tennis courts) of this project are separate and are still being resolved for when they will resume as a result of the General Contractor who resigned. This bid, the building component, was not included in that previously started work and will progress in parallel with the other work.
