Executive Summary:
On July 23, 2026, Fayetteville Regional Airport conducted a competitive bid opening for general contracting services for the previously approved Passenger Boarding Bridge Replacement Project. Eastern Contractors Corporation is the recommended contractor, with a bid of $1,626,779. Staff recommends that the City Council authorize the City Manager to execute the necessary contract with Eastern Contractors Corporation and adopt Budget Ordinance Amendment 2027-4, appropriating $150,000 from unassigned Capital Project Fund balance to establish a total project budget of $1,800,000.

Background:
On September 25, 2023, City Council accepted Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program Grant No. 3-37-0021-055-2023 (AIP 55) and adopted Capital Project Ordinance 2024-3 and Budget Ordinance Amendment 2024-3, establishing a project budget of $1,650,000 to replace the Gate 4 passenger boarding bridge.
