Executive Summary:
Holding a Public Hearing to receive public comment for the annexation area is part of the statutory requirement process.
Background:
City Council approved the Preliminary Assessment Resolution in their meeting on February 9, 2026 for Area 31 of the Phase 5 Annexation. The Resolution set the date of the Public Hearing for Monday, March 23, 2026 to hear public comment.
A notice was published in the Fayetteville Observer on March 12, 2026 informing the property owners of the Public Hearing date. After the Public Hearing, the next step in the process is to approve the Resolution Directing Project be Undertaken. This item will be scheduled for April 13, 2026.
