Executive Summary:

The Appointment committee met on November 22, 2022, to review applications for appointments to the Millennial Commission and the Wrecker Review Board. It is from that meeting the Appointment Committee presents the recommendation for appointments to the Millennial Commission and the Wrecker Review Board Commissions.

 

Background: 

The Appointment Committee consists of the following members:  Mayor Colvin, MPT Dawkins, Council Member Haire (Chair), Council Member Ingram, and Council Member Thompson.

 

Staff received one (1) application for one vacant position on the Wrecker Review Board and received 18 applications for 15 vacant positions on the Millennial Commission.

 

 

Issues/Analysis: 

At the September 6, 2022, Work Session, City Council unanimously approved Council Member Jensen’s motion to increase the Millennial Commission membership from 13 members to 30 members. 

 

The Wrecker Review Board had previously not received any applications for the Fall round of appointments; the Appointments Committee directed staff to re-open the window for submitting applications as a potential candidate had been identified.
