Relationship To Strategic Plan:

Goal 4: Desirable Place to Live, Work and Recreate

Executive Summary:

The City received grant funding from the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) in the amount of $621,693 with a required local match of $155,307 in order to overhaul transit buses.

Background:

The overhaul process includes replacing major bus components including engines, transmissions, dual power inverter module, as well as hybrid system components. These overhauls preserve the remaining useful lives of aging buses, which will provide the City with continued reliable service from existing equipment as well as a reduced impact on maintenance operations due to unanticipated equipment repairs.

Issues/Analysis:

N/A

Budget Impact:

This grant was included in the Fiscal Year 2026-27 Adopted Budget. The local match is funded by the Transit Operating Fund.
