Executive Summary:
City Council provided consensus to change the December meeting schedule from two meetings to one. To be held on Monday, December 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
Background:
City Council approved the 2026 City Council Meeting Dates Calendar by Resolution (R2025-038) during the October 27, 2025, Council Meeting.
At the April 27, 2026, Discussion of Agenda Items meeting, consensus of City Council was to change the December meetings from two meetings to one meeting.
Staff are recommending the cancellation of both the December 7, 2026, Work Session and December 14, 2026, Regular Meeting and calling a special meeting on December 7, 2026. A special meeting will allow for Council to take action as City Council Policy 115.15 - Protocol 10 states City Council does not take formal votes at Work Sessions unless Council makes a motion to suspend the rules.

1. Approve the cancellation of the December 7, 2026, Work Session and December 14, 2026, Regular Meeting and call a special meeting for December 7, 2026, at 2:00 p.m.
2. Do not approve the cancellation the December 7, 2026, Work Session and December 14, 2026, Regular Meeting and provide further direction to staff.
