Executive Summary:
City Council is asked to adopt Capital Project Ordinance Amendments (CPOA) 2025-40 and 2025-41 to move $1,235,922 of fiscal year 2025 NCDOT Airport Improvement Program funding from the International Arrivals Facility project to the General Aviation Hangar project. Staff is also asking City Council to provide authorization for the City Manager to execute the contract.
Background:
City Council previously approved $2,922,939 for a construction delivery method of designing, bidding, and building a General Aviation Hangar project. To accept the proposal provided, the budget must be amended.
The bids received are as follows:
Low Bid: Daniels & Daniels Construction Company, Inc. $ 3,536,552.24
The total project appropriation includes funding for:
* Base Bid $ 3,536,552.24
* Construction Administration, Resident $ 351,217.00
Inspection and Project Management
* Construction Contingency $ 142,750.76
TOTAL $ 4,030,520.00
