Relationship To Strategic Plan:

Goal 3:  City Investment in Today and Tomorrow

Objective: 3.1 To enhance City street connectivity, traffic flow and stormwater systems.

Executive Summary:

Capital Project Ordinance Amendment 2022-66 will appropriate $800,000 to provide funding for the detailed survey and design of drainage improvements in Locks Creek.

Background:

The request for funding for Locks Creek drainage improvements was presented to City Council at the April 4, 2022 work session with the consensus of Council to bring forward an appropriation action at a Council Regular Meeting.

Capital Project Ordinance 2022-1 appropriated $1,485,000 to fund fiscal year (FY) 2022 stormwater drainage improvement projects and other capital expenditures. This appropriation will increase the total appropriation to date for FY2022 stormwater drainage improvement projects and other capital expenditures to $2,285,000.

Issues/Analysis:

None

Budget Impact:

The FY 2022 Stormwater Operating Fund budget includes sufficient funding to provide for this $800,000 transfer.

Options

1.                     Adopt Capital Project Ordinance Amendment 2022-66 to appropriate funding for Locks Creek drainage improvements.

2.                     Do not adopt Capital Project Ordinance Amendment 2022-66 and provide further direction to staff.

Recommended Action:

Staff recommends that Council move to adopt Capital Project Ordinance Amendment 2022-66 as presented.
