Executive Summary:
The City Council is being ask to authorize the City Manager to execute the contract with AXON to purchase fleet storage, taser, and body worn cameras/upgrades. Per the Sourcewell Solicitation Number RFP#010720
Background:
The City plans annually for fleet storage, taser, and body worn cameras/upgrades. The Body worn cameras are currently due for replacement. This proposed project will fund current replacements, along with full replacement of the body worn camera twice during the five year planning period. This ensures that current technology will be deployed.
Issues/Analysis:
We are aware of no issues.
Budget Impact:
The total 5-year impact is $8,070,606.31.
Fiscal year 2023 $1,614,121.28
Fiscal year 2024 $1,614,121.28
Fiscal year 2025 $1,614,121.28
Fiscal year 2026 $1,614,121.28
Fiscal year 2027 $1,614,121.19
ARPA funding will be used for this contract for the current year and fiscal year 2024.
Options:
(1) Award contract as recommended by staff
(2) Do not award contract and provide further direction to staff
Recommended Action:
Staff recommends that Council move to award a contract for the purchase of fleet storage, taser, and body worn cameras/upgrades.
