Executive Summary:
On June 21, 2023 Council adopted the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Fee Schedule. The description of the Prohibited Sign Removal from the Right of Way fee was inadvertently included in the schedule. Council’s approval of the removal of this fee is requested.
Background:
The description for Sign Removal from the Right of Way fee included “$50.00 per sign ground mounted, $100 per sign attached to utility pole, government owned sign or other structure in the right-of way.”
The section of the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Fee Schedule adopted on June 21, 2023, is attached for reference, along with a revised fee schedule with the proposed fee removal.
Issues/Analysis:
The proposed adjustment will remove the Prohibited Sign Removal from the Right of Way fee from the 2023-2024 Fee Schedule.
Budget Impact:
There is no impact to the General Fund.
Options:
1) Accept the adjustment to remove the Sign Removal Right of Way fee from the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Fee Schedule.
2) Do not accept the fee removal and provide further direction to staff.
Recommended Action:
Staff recommends that the Council accept the administrative correction of the Fiscal Year 2023-2024 Fee Schedule previously adopted on June 21, 2023.
