Executive Summary:
This report is to provide an update on the progress towards completion of the spire design and installation at Martin Luther King, Jr. Memorial Park.
Background:
In September 2023, the City of Fayetteville and Fayetteville Cumberland County Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Committee executed an agreement memorializing project duties of each party and financial commitments for construction of the Park in the amounts of $2.2 million appropriated by the City of Fayetteville and $2.5 million appropriated by Cumberland County.
Issues/Analysis:
City staff is prepared to proceed with the project upon receipt of final construction drawings from Fayetteville Cumberland County Dr. Martin L. King, Jr. Committee.

City Council receives report.
City Council does not receive report and provides staff with direction.
