Executive Summary:
Capital Project Ordinance Amendment (CPOA) 2018-56 will reduce the project appropriation for Spruce Street drainage improvements included in the FY2016 stormwater project ordinance by $287,818 to provide a source of funds for CPOA 2018-60 to increase the appropriation for the Godfrey Outfall drainage improvement project included in the FY2015 stormwater project ordinance. Both projects are funded by transfers from the Stormwater Operating Fund, thus allowing flexibility for Council to redirect the funds. Additional funding is needed for the Godfrey Outfall draining project due to unforeseen conditions identified in the field during construction.
Background:
The Godfrey Outfall project is a neighborhood project along North Reilly Road near Benjamin Martin Elementary School. The project limits include Bridgeman Drive, Paxton Drive, Ascot Avenue, North Reilly Road, and Godfrey Drive. The project is designed to increase drainage capacity and relieve flooding in the area by installing a closed drainage system. These improvements were identified in a drainage study completed in conjunction with PWC's Annexation Area 8 Project. The initial project design was prepared as part of the drainage study in 2010.
