Executive Summary:
Council is asked to adopt Budget Ordinance Amendment (BOA) 2023-4 and Capital Project Ordinance (CPO) 2023-9 to appropriate $150,000.00 for the Rowan Park Improvement Project.
Background:
Rowan Park has seen a significant increase in visitors since the opening of the new Skate Park and the conversion of the old tennis courts to pickle ball courts.
Improvements are recommended to the upper level of Rowan Park and include, but are not limited to, shade structures adjacent to the pickle ball courts and erosion control measures to ensure stabilization of the ground.

Budget Impact:
Budget Ordinance Amendment 2023-4 will appropriate $150,000 from the General Fund fund balance.
Options:
1) Adopt BOA 2023-4 and CPO 2023-9 to allow park improvements.
2) Do not adopt BOA 2023-4 and CPO 2023-9 and provide further direction to staff.
Recommended Action:
Staff recommends that Council move to adopt BOA 2023-4 and CPO 2023-9 as presented.
