Executive Summary:
Council is asked to adopt Budget Ordinance Amendment 2024-5 to appropriate $610,000 of the Stormwater Management Fund fund balance to the FY24 Stormwater Management Fund operations for the following expenditures: $400,000 for the impervious area and rate analysis, $150,000 for Watershed Model Maintenance, and $60,000 for gauges.
Background:
On October 9th, Council returned $4,838,055 of the Stormwater Management Fund funds originally appropriated with the FY24 budget ordinance to the Stormwater Management Fund fund balance with BOA 2024-4. Therefore, funds are available for appropriation.
Issues/Analysis:
None
Budget Impact:
There is no impact on the General Fund.
Options:
1) Adopt Budget Ordinance Amendment 2024-5 to appropriate $610,000 from the Stormwater Management Fund fund balance for the FY24 Stormwater Management Fund operating expenditures.
2) Do not adopt Budget Ordinance 2024-5 and provide further direction to staff.
Recommended Action:
Staff recommends that the Council move to adopt Budget Ordinance Amendment 2024-5 as presented.
