Executive Summary:
Council is asked to award the contract for construction of Terminal Renovations Phase III to Daniels & Daniels Construction Company, Inc.as the successful bidder of the bid process completed September 12, 2023.

Background:
Council adopted Capital Project Ordinance 2023-8 on August 8, 2022, which appropriated $1,870,450 of Federal Aviation Administration Airport Improvement Program dollars to fund Terminal Renovations Phase III. The project was advertised for bid on August 15, 2023, however, the initial bid process only received one bidder, thus requiring a second bid process. The bids received in the second bid process on September 12, 2023 came in above budget. To provide the additional funds needed, Council adopted Capital Project Ordinance Amendment 2024-7 on November 27, 2023, which appropriated $1,858,191 of funding from the North Carolina Department of Transportation to the project budget, for a total budget of $3,728,641.

Funding for the Terminal Renovations Phase III project will be used for:
o The upfit of 1,226 square feet of space formerly utilized by American Airlines for baggage into new airline ticketing offices,
o The re-roofing of 41,152 of square feet over Concourse B,
o The addition of 600 square feet to Concourse B seating and floor area between Gate 4 and Gate 5 with stora...
