Executive Summary:
The Fayetteville Public Works Commission has approved a resolution authorizing the Tentative Award of a Bid Contract and requests the City Council to adopt a similar resolution.
Background:
During the October 25, 2023, Public Works Commission Meeting, the Commission approved the bid recommendation to award the base bid and alternate bid for the Re-Advertisement PO Hoffer Water Treatment Facility and Glenville Lake Water Treatment Facility Reliability Contract No. 55, however, no resolution was submitted for approval. Subsequently, at their December 13, 2023, Commission Meeting the Commission approved PWC Resolution - PWC2023.42 - Tentative Award of Bid Contract and requests the City Council to adopt similar resolution at its January 8, 2024, meeting.

Funding for this project will come from Drinking Water State Revolving Fund (DWSRF) loans and revenue bond (Hoffer at 75% 205.0000.0435.2102911-06.700030. CPR1000458 Glenville at 25% 205.0000.0435.2102980-06.700030CPR1000458).

The Fayetteville Public Works Commission recommends the Fayetteville City Council adopt the Resolution of the City of Fayetteville, North Carolina to Authorize the Tentative Award of a Bid Contract By and Through Fayetteville Public Works Commission at its January 8, 2024, City Council session.
