Executive Summary:
City Council received an administrative report in November of 2023 regarding the feasibility of various options to address healthy food access disparities in and around Murchison Road. At that meeting, Council requested staff bring the topic back to a City Council Work Session for further discussion. Council is asked to receive the information and update on this topic.


Background:
Community economic development professionals routinely engage in retail recruitment efforts to address socioeconomic issues or increase economic activity. During the Murchison Choice Planning Grant, the community spoke of the need for healthy eating options.
