Executive Summary:
Council is asked to adopt Capital Project Ordinance Amendment (CPOA) 2024-20 to transfer funding from the FY2016 stormwater drainage improvement project in the amount of $22,542 to CPOA 2024-19. In addition, the council is asked to adopt CPOA 2024-19 which will appropriate the $22,542 of funds from CPOA 2024-20 plus an additional $552,458 from the Public Works Commission (PWC) for the Adam Street Drainage Improvement Project. The additional funding is for utility upgrades that are not eligible for American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) funding. The City and PWC have entered into a reimbursable agreement and PWC will reimburse the city for the contractor expenditure.


Background:
The Adam Street Drainage Improvement Project will construct approximately 1,050 linear feet of storm drainage improvements with approximately 1,300 linear feet of water main replacement, and associated roadway improvements along Adam Street.

The project is an upgrade to the existing storm drain system which consists of small diameter concrete pipe and limited catch basin inlets. The existing storm drain system is being removed and upsized to provide more drainage capacity to reduce localized flooding.
