Executive Summary:
Council is asked to adopt a resolution to authorize a municipal agreement with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to support a roadway improvement project along Raeford Road from west of Hampton Oaks Drive to east of Fairway Drive. The project includes the installation of median islands, traffic signal upgrades, pedestrian traffic signals, resurfacing, drainage, and new pavement markings. The City will fund 50% of the costs to install the sidewalks and 100% of the costs to install the bus stop pads and drainage upgrades.

Capital Project Ordinance Amendment (CPOA) 2018-41 will appropriate a $316,677 General Fund transfer to increase the Municipal Agreement project budget to provide a total of $391,230 for the projected cost of the sidewalk construction.
