Executive Summary:
Budget Ordinance Amendment (BOA) 2018-24 will appropriate $300,000 from Stormwater Management Fund net assets to transfer to the FY2018 stormwater drainage improvement projects through Capital Project Ordinance Amendment (CPOA) 2018-69 to provide funding for the first phase of stormwater system replacement at the Market House as part of the Public Works Commission (PWC) Market House Project.

Background:
The Market House Project is a PWC project along Person Street and Green Street. The project limits include the intersection of Hay Street, Gillespie Street, Person Street, and Green Street around the Market House. The PWC project is designed to replace aging drinking water pipes in the area around the Market House. PWC will include the stormwater infrastructure work in a larger contract to replace water infrastructure in the same area. Performing the work as part of the PWC contract will save money for the City and reduce disruption to the downtown area.

The appropriation of $300,000 will provide funding for the engineering design of the stormwater replacement and perform the construction of a portion of the stormwater system on the Gillespie Street side of the Market House. The remaining portions of the sys...
